Our Story
Ancharakootam began in 2005 in Elavally, Thrissur, as a small group of five and a half friends — the "half" being the youngest of the group. Two decades on, we are a united team of more than 25 members, committed to serving our community with friendship, unity and compassion.
For more than twenty years we have worked for the welfare of our village through charitable, cultural and social initiatives. Our mission is to support those in need, preserve our traditions, and inspire the younger generation to contribute positively to society.
Today Ancharakootam is recognised as one of the strongest and most active youth groups in the Elavally area. Our strength comes from our unity, our dedication, and our willingness to help others whenever they need us.
Ancharakootam is not just a group — it is a family united by friendship, service, and a shared vision.
What We Do
Practical help for the families around us — delivered quietly, consistently, and without conditions.
Every year we distribute Onam kits to underprivileged families, so that no household in our village celebrates the season empty-handed.
School books and educational materials for students from financially challenged backgrounds — keeping every child in the classroom.
Financial assistance for families facing accidents, medical emergencies and other unexpected hardships — help that arrives when it matters.
Organising the annual Pooram Festival at Sree Durga Temple and other cultural programmes that bring the whole village together.
Our Proudest Tradition
Each year we organise and celebrate the Pooram Festival at Sree Durga Temple — caparisoned elephants, thousands of neighbours in the street, and a village that becomes one crowd for a day.
It is the clearest expression of what Ancharakootam is for: keeping our heritage alive and handing it, intact, to the generation coming up behind us.

Our club is guided by a dedicated team of leaders who work together to uphold our values, drive meaningful initiatives, and create opportunities for every member to grow and contribute.
